A head and shoulders seated photograph by 'Vivienne,' the mount signed: "Winston S. Churchill. 1954" (some light spotting to mount), 12 x 9½in., framed and glazed. With a one-page typed letter of 8 lines, signed by Clementine Churchill, from 10 Downing St, Whitehall, 11th November 1954, to Lady Poore, sending her the photograph and stating: "I was most interested to hear that in the old days you used to stay at Maudslie. I read your letter to my Husband and he well remembers what a happy passage he had in the Dunnotar Castle in 1899. He was then twenty-five years old" (slightly faded, attached with adhesive to verso of frame).
