Wodhouse Farmes in ye Parishes of Touslbury, Toulton d'Acy, Chapel, and Ty=Magna, being ye lands of Mr John Savill of Colchester." Manuscript folding estate plan mounted on linen, title and scale of Perches within decorative cartouche, watercolour illustration of "a prospect of ye. Farme house", compass rose (some fraying at folds and edges with slight loss, 2 light waterstains), 505 x 390mm. Gascoyne is listed in Eden's Dictionary of Land Surveyors as carrying out surveys in Cornwall, Hertfordshire, Middlesex, Oxfordshire, Carolina and possibly the West Indies, in addition to Essex. He was apprenticed to John Thornton between 1668-75.
