Lot Essay

The work has an inscription on the reverse from Helena Dvorakoeva, the sister of the artist stating 'Potrezuji ze obraz tento/jest dilo mieko bratra Frant Dvoraka/Helena Dvorakaova' (I confirm that this picture is the work of my brother Franz Dvoraka/Helena Dvorakoeva).
There is some contention regarding the artists dates, with some sources reporting his death in 1912.
