Autograph letter signed ('Richard Wagner') to an unidentified correspondent ('Hochgeehrter Freund'), Biebrich, 2 August 1882, thanking the recipient for his news, and asking him to provide 'eine gute Loge [a good box]' in the first row, or else, failing that, 'eine Parterre-lage, gegen Bezahlung (versteht sich!) [a seat in the salls, for payment (of course!)]', the tickets to be left with the Widow Zais at the 4 Jahreszeiten opposite the theatre, two pages, 8vo (stained, split through at centre fold).
