A RARE LATE MING TIANQI AND QIANGJIN LACQUER BOWL
JIAJING INCISED AND GILT SIX-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1522-1566)
With deep sides, the bowl incised, gilt and infilled with lacquer with two dragons in mutual pursuit, divided by the characters fu, 'fortune', and shou, 'longevity', respectively rising from crashing waves and sprigs of lingzhi, all against cloud scrolls, the mouth rim with foliate sprays and the base encircled by lappets above a classic scroll around the foot, the red lacquered interior with some gilt remaining
