Lot Essay

This rare items has turned up a few times at auction, but is normally a boy teddy bear. It is believed that this is the first time a girl example of this toy has been sold. It is possible that this is a Merrythought product as they list making one in the early 1940s, although no catalogue image or labelled toy has turned up to positively identify it.
