Gouache heightened with gold on paper, the faces of the Prophet and Imam 'Ali veiled and with flaming haloes, as one stands upon the shoulders of the other as they remove and destroy the pagan idols around the Ka'ba, watched by many groups of men from all around the mosque which is shown here surrounding the holy sanctuary, trimmed to miniature, slight flaking, protective varnish, modern mount
