19th Century, in the Louis XV style
With a gilt-tooled red leather top above two frieze drawers, the underside with a paper label inscribed in pencil 'Queen's Tapestry Room', the corner mounts stamped 'A.D.', with a later paper property label for Princess Margaret

H.M. Queen Mary (1867-1953), formerly placed in the Queen's Tapestry Room, Buckingham Palace, London.

Placed in the Garden Room of the Private Apartment of H.R.H. The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon at Kensington Palace.
