An English turned and carved painted wooden doll
with inset dark glass eyes, 'stitched' brows and lashes, the brows with a line under and remains of dark brown hair wig, wearing later silk brocade closed robe, black satin cap, original silk mittens, knitted stocking with clock, coarse petticoats, green striped chalis petticoat and satin bodice stiffened with paper, the body wrapped in thick paper and muslin, late 18th century --23½in.
