PRESENTATION COPY to Dr. C.R.A. Sutton (front pastedown signed and inscribed by the author, 11 January 1908). With loosely-inserted 4-page autograph letter signed from Grundy to Sutton, also dated Nottingham 11 January 1908, saying he has pleasure in sending the book; and expressing his satisfaction with the "photos". He continues: "My attendance as a boy commenced about 1858 in the Parr & Jackson & R. Daft days. I am sorry Geo. Parr is not in the 1869 photo as he was still playing ...." Padwick 8044.
