Lot Essay

In 1970 Lord Snowdon was asked to open the new John Donald shop, a joint venture with Tecla Pearls, "John Donald with Tecla" on Old Bond Street. This freshwater pearl brooch was a gift from the jeweller to H.R.H. The Princess Margaret at the opening ceremony.
