Of slightly domed shaped circular openwork form with lobed scroll border and pin mounts, originally for pearls, now deficient, circa 1650

There are designs very close to this setting in the Llibres de Passanties produced by the examinees of the Barcelona goldsmiths' guild during the 16th and 17th centuries, now in the Instituto Municipal de Historia de la Ciudad, Barcelona
