A collection of photographs and contact sheets of Marlon Brando, comprising:
- two photographs of Brando on the set of The Wild One as Johnny Strabler, 1953, one a humorous snap-shot of Brando attempting to lift up the front of a car, the other of members of the B.R.M.C. during one of the bar scenes in the film, both with ink-stamp to reverse Columbia Pictures, Photo by Lippman -- 3½x4½in. (8.9x12.1cm.);
- 47 black and white original contact prints on 4 sheets, with another sheet, printed later, the shots taken during the filming of Queimada!/Burn!, in Cartagena, Columbia, 1969, subjects include: Brando having his hair and make-up done; Director, Gillo Pontecorvo; and Brando with Pontecorvo and other members of the cast crew and extras, with 36 corresponding negatives;
- 12 black and white contact prints on one sheet of Brando with dyed blond hair, probably at the date of filming The Young Lions, 1958 [printed later], with 12 corresponding negatives;
- 17 black and white photographs of Brando improvising a fight scene with Sam Gilman in Monterey, California, during the filming of One-Eyed Jacks, 1961 [printed later], with 16 corresponding negatives;
- 12 black and white contact prints on one sheet of Dean Martin in France during the filming of The Young Lions, 1958 [printed later];
- two rare early playbills for Arms And The Man, starring Brando as Sergius, one for the Theatre by-the-sea, Matunuck, R.I., week of 6 July, 1953, the front cover depicting a head and shoulders portrait of Brando, the other for the County Playhouse, Framingham, Mass., week of 27 July; and related material (a lot)
