Bela Matina and her brother Matjus were born in Hungary and are the shortest recorded twins of all time at 30" tall. They both appeared in The Wizard Of Oz under the names Ike and Mike.

In the film, the Munchkin Coroner (Meinhardt Raabe) can be seen wearing a similar waistcoat to the one included in this lot. Another waistcoat identical to the one included in this lot, worn by Munchkin Harry Monty, is illustrated in Jay Scarfone and William Stillman's book.
