A SILVER-GILT LONSDALE BELT FOR THE LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP OF GREAT BRITAIN PRESENTED TO DAVE CHARNLEY

the central oval enamel panel depicting a portrait of Lord Lonsdale and inscribed Lord Lonsdale Challenge Belt, First President, The British Boxing Board of Control (1929), Lightweight Championship of Great Britain, Professional Boxing, the belt decorated with four oval panels each seperatly cast in relief with the National flower of the four home countries, Rose, (England), Thistle (Scotland), Daffodil, (Wales) and Clover (Ireland), with inset links and a futher two enamel plaques depicting boxing scenes, the belt bearing four rectangular panels, three bearing inscriptions, the first inscribed Harringay Arena, 9th April. 1957, Joe Lucy v. Dave Charnley, Won by Dave Charnley, (in 15 Rds), the second inscribed Ice Rink, Nottingham, 20th November 1961, Dave Charnley v.
