Thomas Adams No. 3767. Circa 1860
The dial signed Thomas Adams maker to HRH Prince Albert 36 Lombard St. London, gold hour, minute and up/down hands, seconds ring at VI with blued steel hand and numbered 3767, the movement with well spotted plates, Earnshaw-type spring detent, cut bimetallic balance with circular heat compensation weights, blued steel helical balance spring, brass bowl further punch-numbered 3767, the faded mahogany three-tier brass-bound box with unusual rounded edges, drop handles, replacement bone plaque to the front, the inside of the top lid pasted with a green trade label for D.McGregor & Co.
