A French late 19th-Century pocket-sized medical set in fishskin-covered case,
several instruments signed CHARRIERE, the case with red lining and fitted to contain six bottles with ground stoppers and handwritten paper content labels, horn lancet, glass dropper and other accessories -- 7.5 x 10cm. (6 7/8 x 3 7/8in.); a late 19th-Century black leather pocket wallet of veterinary instruments, with green velvet lining, stamped for maker ARNOLD & SONS, SMITHFIELD LONDON, the instruments with horn or tortoiseshell handles; a white-metal etui engraved on the lid Mortimer SURGEON containing four tortoiseshell lancets (one damaged), initialled on the shell B.M.; and two trocars, one with lignum vitae handle, the other handle in horn (5)
