Lot Essay

VERY RARE. NOT IN ESTC, THE BRITISH LIBRARY, THE WELLCOME LIBRARY OR THE NATIONAL LIBRARY OF MEDICINE. The pamphlet contains various remedies, including 'A proved Ointment for Achs', 'A Medicine against the Quartan' (composed of 'Shell-Snailes two handfuls and other ingredients), and 'A Remedy against the Plague, was sent to the Lord Mayor of London, by K[ing]. Henry the VIII'. It appears to date from the late 16th/early 17th century.
