signed TRIPPENSEE PLANETARIUM CO., Detroit, Mich,. the 3-inch (7.6 cm.) diameter globe made up of 12 chromolithographed gores with a cartouche for TRIPPENSEE PLANETARIUM COMPANY DETROIT, Mich., with chain drive to a black and white painted moon ball and to the main column with large brass sunball and chain-driven arm for black and white painted Mercury ball, raised on a baluster turned wood column to a circular brass plinth base with calendar, zodiac and seasonal scales.
