Lot Essay

Born in 1733 and received as a maître in 1756, Jean René Nadal called L'Ainé was the oldest son of the menuisier Jean Nadal. He took over his fathers atelier on the rue de Cléry, in a district where most of the chair makers were established. He worked for the Crown as well as for the Comte d'Artois.
