The hilt of the dagger with pistol grip at one end and carved in low relief with flowers and leaves, the jade mounts on the cloth-wrapped scabbard also carved with flowers and applied on one side with a band of silver ribbon, the jade mounts inlaid with foil-backed ruby and emerald 'cabochons' set in gold, the jade of pale greenish-white color
