QIANLONG CARVED SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The deep sides finely carved with two pairs of birds perched in blossoming branches amidst various flowers below a band of ruyi heads at the slightly flared rim, the foot encircled by a narrow band of key fret, with gilt-metal interior and lacquered gilt-metal foot
4 5/8 in. (11.9 cm.) diam.

Lot Essay

This rare bowl is either the same bowl or identical to one from the collection of Mr. P. Krolik included in the O.C.S. exhibition, The Arts of the Ch'ing Dynasty, London, 26 May - 2 July 1964, pl. 119, no. 373.
