A RARE CLOISONNE ENAMEL RECTANGULAR PLAQUE
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The plaque depicting two of the Three Star Gods, Shoulao, the god of Longevity, bearing a peach and holding a staff, standing on a terrace beneath a pine tree and Tian Guan, the Ruler of Heaven and God of Good Fortune, possibly a reference to Fuxing, descending from the mountains upon a cloud, together with a group of young boys bearing auspicious objects, greeting a third immortal, possibly representing Luxing, arriving on the back of a qilin, with the characters, sanduo jiqing (The Three Abundances Gather in Celebration), in the lower left corner
