Lot Essay

Star Trek Generations was the first movie to feature the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation. It was also the film to document the demise of the legendary James T. Kirk. But Star Trek Generations is also notable for having introduced a never-before seen version of the Starship Enterprise. The U.S.S. Enterprise, NCC-1701-B, was the Excelsior-class vessel that served after Kirk's ship, but before Picard's. The Star Trek Generations set drawings collection includes plans for that ship's bridge and other interiors. These drawings represent an important link in Star Trek history, as they are the only onscreen appearance of that starship.
