Lot Essay

The interior of Picard's shuttle in Star Trek: Insurrection was a redress of the runabout cockpit set from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The control panel graphics on the Enterprise-E were slightly diffent from those on the runabout, so new acrylic control panels were made for the set's appearance in Star Trek: Insurrection. Enterprise-E graphics were very similar to those used on the Enterprise-D, but they had a slightly different color palette, and they featured brushed gold vinyl surface graphic accents, intended to give the newer ship a slightly richer, more advanced appearance.
