Brent Spiner is best known to Star Trek fans as the android, Data, in Star Trek: The Next Generation. In that show, he also played Dr. Noonien Soong, Data's inventor. Years later, he returned to Star Trek to play Soong's ancestor, Dr. Arik Soong, the brilliant (and ethically-challenged) scientist who experimented with genetically-engineered embryos from Earth's Eugenic's Wars.
