Lot Essay

Quark's Bar and Grill offered exotic beverages from around the galaxy. One such beverage was "saurian brandy," which was Kirk's preferred liquor in the original series. Saurian brandy came in unusually-elongated bottles, originally made by the Dickel company of Tennessee. The saurian brandy bottle replica in this lot was cast from a Dickel bottle. Some of the other alien beverages represented here have labels designed by Doug Drexler and Anthony Fredrickson. This collection was assembled for the show by Emmy-nominated set decorator Laura Richarz.
