Lot Essay

Morn was a patron of Quark's Bar on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Played by Mark Allen Shepherd, Morn was often referred to as being a lively conversationalist with a great sense of humor. The gag, however, was that Morn never actually spoke a word on camera. Even in "Who Mourns for Morn," which focused on Shepherd's character, our favorite bar patron was silent. Morn's name was an anagram for Norm, of Cheers fame. In "Who Mourns for Morn," it was believed that Morn had a fabulous treasure of gold-pressed latinum, but these ingots were discovered to be filled with near-worthless gold, devoid of valuable latinum.
