Lot Essay

This typeface, known as "Starfleet Bold Extended Inline" was designed by Michael Sterling of Robert Abel and Associates for the hull of the refit Enterprise in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. This typeface remained in use on ships in the subsequent films, as well as vessels in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Star Trek: Voyager.
