The Romulan Warbird is one of the icons of the The Next Generation era of Star Trek. It was designed by Andrew Probert for "The Neutral Zone", the dramatic re-introduction of the Romulans to the Star Trek universe at the end of the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation was conceived to be larger and more powerful than the Galaxy-class U.S.S. Enterprise-D. This model was built by Academy-award nominee Gregory Jein.
