Lot Essay

In 1963, Paul Manno partnered with Pamela (Churchill) Hayward (later Pamela Harriman) to create a boutique for Jansen at 42 East 57th Street which wold Jansen furnishings. This operation was such a success that other Jansen boutiques were opened in Milan, Rome and Buenos Aires (see J.A. Abbott, Jansen, New York, 2006, p. 35)
