Signed J.W. Benson, 25 Old Bond Street, London, No. 2539, circa 1902
With gilt-finished three-quarter plate movement with lever escapement, diamond endstone, some jewels carried in screwed gold chatons, bi-metallic compensation balance, minute repeating on two gongs activated by a slide in the band, gold cuvette, off-white enamel dial with Roman numerals, possibly by Willis, subsidiary seconds, polished case engraved "FACTA NON VERBA", dial and movement signed, case stamped with maker's mark FT (Frederic Thoms) and hallmarked for London, 1902
