LATE 18TH CENTURY
The rounded rectangular grey-veined white marble top with pierced three-quarter gallery above three panelled frieze-drawers and the panelled roll-top enclosing a red leather-lined pull-out writing-surface, four short drawers and two compartments, above a central frieze-drawer flanked by deeper two drawers to the left and a deep drawer with enclosed coffre fort and compartmented tray to the right, the angles fluted and stop-fluted, on fluted turned tapering legs terminating in caps, the marble with restored breaks
