An early 20th-Century English lacquered-brass spectrometer 'Harris' No.1,
signed PHILIP HARRIS & CO LTD BIRMINGHAM ENGLAND, the adjustable telescope and collimator with rack-and-pinion focusing and achromatic objectives, the prism table supported above a graduated circle 0-360° with protective cover and two verniers graduated 0-30°, with an oxidised tripod base, the wooden carrying case -- 35.5 x 25.5 x 28.3cm. (14 x 10 x 11 1/8in.)
