With nickel-finished fully jewelled movement, pivoted detent escapement, large bimetallic compensation balance, screwed gold chatons, gold cuvette, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic five minute divisions, subsidiary seconds, in large engine-turned case with a blank shield-shaped cartouche to the front, case stamped and numbered, cuvette signed and numbered

Lot Essay

E.H. Jaccard & Cie. were founded in Geneva in 1850. The firm produced simple and complicated watches as well as pocket chronometers with Bulletins de l'Observatoire. Their specialty were watches with twin escapements, tourbillon carriages and astronomical timepieces.
