The two-tiered kogo in the form of a bird cage, the cage with a gold ground decorated in takamaki-e with kirikane, nashiji and red lacquer, the kogo with a muranashiji ground, decorated in hiramaki-e and togidashi-e with birds and bamboo, the top of the birdcage with a drum and maple tree
