Lot Essay

For the Municipal Library of Rotterdam Jaap Gidding designed a series of leaded and stained glass windows, comprising a window with the coat of arms of the city of Rotterdam, a monumental staircase window with four women representing the lady of the city of Rotterdam and a series of less elaborate windows, that were possibly executed by Puhl & Wagner, Gottfried Heinersdorff, Berlin, ca. 1922
