The hood with blind fret panels above swan neck pediment, outset brass-capped reeded columns, the trunk flanked by conforming half columns, with plain plkinth above raised base, the 12 in. wide silvered and engraved dial with foliate scroll spandrels to Roman and Arabic chapter ring, subsidiary seconds ring and circular date aperture, signed on a banner DANIEL BINNY EDIN.R, blued steel hands, the arch with strike/silent ring, the eight day movement with four pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike on bell -- 87 in.
