Lot Essay

Amongst related Grecian palm-flowered pedimented lanterns, with colour-glass borders to the panes, was one from Swindridgemuir, Scotland sold Christie's London, 18 November 1993, lot 146; and another, attributed to William Collins of the Strand sold Christie's King Street, 23 November 2006, lot 162.
