Four Japanese ivory carvings, 19th Century
carved as an okimono of a seated figure holding a double gourd and a small doll in the other; a parasol handle carved as a smiling figure of Fukurukuju, his tall forehead covered by an incised decorated hood; a long flattened carving incised and decorated in relief with monkeys playing with an elephant; a small carving of a nude female; and a Chinese ivory carving of Budai, 19th/20th Century, modelled seated with a smiling face and protruding belly - 8 7/8in. (22.5cm.) high max. (5)
