A VICTORIAN SILVER CENTREPIECE,
MARK OF HENRY JOHN LIAS, LONDON, 1877,
Modelled as a fruiting vine with cut glass bowl at centre & three smaller cut glass dishes of later manufacture, each supported on a vine branch, on large pedestal base, applied with a greyhound at foot of vine, the base chased with twin cartouches, each flanked by vines, one vacant, the other with a man hare coursing with two greyhounds on a leash, the base raised on three vine-decorated bracket feet, 27½ in. high (70.5 cm.), 146 oz.
