The king -- 4¾in. (12cm.) high; the pawn -- 2in. (5cm.) high
Together with a boxwood and ebony 'Edinburgh up-right' pattern chess set, second half 19th century, in an oak box with hinged cover centred by a relief carved coat-of-arms; the king -- 2¾in. (7cm.) high; the pawn -- 1¾in. (4.5cm.) high
