POSSIBLY BENGAL, SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY
In the 'John Company' style, the kings and queens as princes riding elephants, the queens with parasols, the bishops as lions, the knights as horsemen, the rooks as turrets, the pawns as sepoys
The king -- 3¼in. (8.2cm.) high; the pawn -- 2¼in. (5.7cm.) high
