22 performance contracts for appearances by The Rolling Stones at various British venues, various dates 27th July, 1963 - 8th February, 1965, each of the printed documents completed with typescript details, majority signed by the booking agency or management, these include: the Roy Tempest Organisation, Camida Promotions, Tito Burns Productions, George Cooper Organisation, Ajax Entertainments, Moss's Empire and the John Smith Entertainment Agency; various venues include: the California Ballroom, Dunstable; St. Leonards Hall, Horsham; Strand Palais, Deal, Kent; Leyton Baths; Gaumont Worcester Odeon, Romford; Town Hall, Reading; Savoy Rooms, Catford; Magdalen College, Oxford; Palace, Manchester; and the Futurist Theatre, Scarborough; and three Eric Easton Ltd. agreements, 26th July, 1964 for various artists including Gene Vincent & The Shouts (a lot)

Lot Essay

The Stones' careers became frenetically busy between the middle of July 1963 until the end of June, 1964 as is evidenced by the contracts in this lot and those sold through these rooms on 3rd October, 2003 and the 5th May, 2004. In the first three months of this period they played nearly 50 gigs in London and during August and September, 1963 they performed live ...on all but seven days. Not that these were days off, on those dates, they did three TV shows, recorded on another day, and did interviews and a photo shoot on the fifth day...
