woodcut, 1898-9, on Japon, M./K./J.'s state D (of D), annotated 'Paul Gauguin fait -- Pola Gauguin imp.', numbered 23/25, with margins, minor surface soiling, pale scattered foxing in the margins, pale mat staining, occasional soft handling creases in the margins, old hinge remains in places at the reverse of the upper margin edge (associated staining), otherwise in good condition
