The formal grouping here depicted include Elizabeth's mother ("Elizabeth"), seated at the center, holding the infant future Queen (wrapped in a lacey christening gown, thumb in mouth); behind are Elizabeth's father Albert ("Albert" the future George V), her grandparents George V (George V RI") and Queen Mary ("Mary R"), and her maternal grandparents, the Earl and Countess of Strathmore (Strathmore," and "Cecilia Strathmore").
