THE GUNSLINGER IN HOLLYWOOD. An apparent publicity photo, captioned "Emmett Dalton in 1892," bearing a Hollywood agent's label. The famed train and bank robber is shown, nattily dressed in striped tie and western hat. Dalton was one of the few members of the celebrated Dalton Gang to survive the ill-considered 1892 bank robbery at Coffeyville Kansas, though he was shot 23 times. Pardoned, he wound up in California and appeared as an actor in a handful of films.
