NOTE:
Hu Peiheng (1892-1962), originally named Hu Heng, was a native of Hubei Province. He worked as a landscape-painting instructor at the Chinese Painting Society of Pekign University in 1919 and established the Hu She Painting Society in 1927. Before 1949, he lectured at the Peking Normal University, Northern China University and Beiping Fine Arts College; he later became a resident painter at the Beijign Chinese Painting Academy and a member of the Chinese Fine Arts Association after liberation.
