Contemporary half morocco, spines gilt-lettered, edges gilt (some rubbing and scuffing, remnants of a library sticker on spine of vol. I). Provenance: George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum (bookplate).

FIRST EDITION. Audsley was one of the earliest British authorities on Japanese art, and many of the pieces depicted in these volumes come from Bowes' own collection. (2)
