A quantity of Japanese inro, netsuke and boxes, 19th and 20th century
including a wood frog group netuske -- 1 11/16in. (4.3cm.) long; two ivory netsuke, the first carved as a human face with a protruding tongue, the second carved with Daikoku raising his hammer; a rectangular lacquer box and cover, decorated in hiramakie and takamakie with pavilions and thatched huts in a tree strewn mountainous landscape; an ivory okimono; seven inro; five boxes and cases with covers; a wood netsuke modelled as a basket; a wood okimono of a pumpkin and aubergine; a bronze brushwasher in the form of a lotus leaf; a bronze elephant; a miniature bronze vase; and a small enamelled tray and plaque.
